Rental Options
Hold your next meeting, gathering, or event at Open Book. We invite members of the community to share our beautiful and adaptable space by holding your event at Open Book. We offer flexible catering options, affordable rates, and a centrally located facility in Minneapolis. The free parking lot for up to 35 vehicles is an added bonus.
To inquire about renting space at the Open Book, email admin@openbookmn.org, call 612-215-2572, or use this form to share your event details. Rentals may only be reserved up to six months in advance. Open Book does not allow weddings in our facility at this time.
Schedule a tour of the spaces to help envision your event; walk-in tours are not offered. Please schedule a tour at least 24 hours in advance by emailing admin@openbookmn.org or calling 612-215-2572.

In addition to these spaces, MCBA rents artist studios and The Loft rents writing studios providing spaces for creative support.
Open Book Performance Hall
This flexible space can be customized to your event. Seat it theater-style, set-up banquet rounds, host a gathering around classroom tables, or hold a cocktail reception. The performance hall is equipped with a number of audio/visual options, including a stage with house sound.

Book Launches & Readings in the Performance Hall
$500 Flat fee package for 3-hour event
Podium, microphone, chairs, tables for refreshments and book signing, 6 high top tables and linens, sharing the event on the website and the marquee, cleaning fee.
A cleaning fee is added for any events in the Performance Hall providing food/drink. Fee ranges based on the extent of the catering, but starts at $100.
Rates include use of the Performance Hall, the Atrium area, and the catering fridge/kitchenette for food staging. No additional charge for tables or AV usage. Additional fee for linens and other equipment listed under Rental Add Ons.

Open Book Meeting Rooms
Flexible for meetings or other gatherings, our spaces offer a private and inspiring atmosphere in which to share ideas, plan, or simply get down to business.
Meeting Room 305 is a space for small group gatherings. This room can accommodate up to 10 for a meeting at tables, but is also a great space for casual conversations, interviews, lunch meetings. The room has a 55” screen and a 3’x5’ white board. Connects to the outdoor patio area.
Meeting Room 203 is equipped with a screen, projector, webcam, and whiteboard easel. This room can accommodate 50 people in chairs in rows, 36 people classroom style, 24 at a conference table, or smaller groups in a variety of arrangements.
Rates
Meeting Room 203: $55/hour; $35/hour nonprofit rate
Meeting Room 305: $40/hour; $25/hour nonprofit rate
Add exclusive use of the Patio on to the Meeting Room 305 rental for an additional $100/hour
Requires a three-hour minimum rental
Add-on the Owl Pro to your rental for seamless hybrid meetings for a $50 fee
A $50 cleaning fee applied to all events providing food/beverage in 203; $20 cleaning fee in 305
